Our creative design group is dedicated to listening to design clients needs and wishes for the interior design of your home. KZ Design Group can design and space plan your kitchen, bathrooms, living room, dining rooms and accessories including window treatments and flooring. Kathleen M. Zbacnik can create the design style of your choice: contemporary, traditional, transitional or eclectic design.
Our History
Kathleen Zbacnik graduated magna cum laude from Minnesota State University
at Moorhead with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She opened her own interior
design firm in 1980 and has owned and operated it for the past 20 years
in the San Diego area. Her firm name is KZ DESIGN GROUP and is located
in the village of La Jolla.
Kathleen's qualifications include professional membership in The American Society of Interior Design (ASID) , the International Interior Design Association (IIDA), and certification in the state of California (CID). KZ also has passed the prestigious NCIDQ exam, National Council for Interior Design Qualifications. Kathleen and her husband, Joseph, reside in La Jolla with their Pomeranian, Chloe. Music, theater, reading and fine dining are some of Kathleen's favorite avocations.
